| Interested in becoming a Boilermaker Apprentice? An entry-level position with pay increases every 6 months if you qualify. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and provide copy of birth certificate. Must have High School diploma or GED. Applicants will be selected first on the basis of welding qualifications and then on the basis of random selection, as set forth in the approved standards and selection procedures of the National Joint Apprenticeship committee for the trade. Work in four state area, so will be expected to travel Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri, and Kansas. Would attend 3 weeks of schooling every 1500 hours worked. School is in Kansas City, KS. This is a 6000 hour apprenticeship; could potentially attain journey license in 3 years.
